There's More to Cooking Than Heating Up Pop-Tarts and Beanie-Wienies
Ever made a lasagna in a Dutch Oven?  Have you watched cherry filling bubble through the crust of a cobbler baked in a box oven?  Can you remember how good a tuna and pasta casserole tasted on a hiking trip that you cooked with a gas stove or created within a freezer bag?

Good Scouting events typically are the ones that involve good food.  There are only so many ways you can "cook" a Pop-Tart or heat a can of Beanie-Wienies.  If you want to get the saliva flowing and the belly full on your next outing, then you need to check out the best-of-the-best recipes.  I've sorted the recipes first by the method of cooking - Dutch Oven, Box Oven, Camp Stove, Freezer Bag, and Foil Pack.  Also included as separate categories are recipes for Cracker Barrels and recipes made with SPAM and instant meals.

When you gain some confidence with a menu, add your own pizazz.  Don't be afraid to try new things.  If you mess up, just pour a jar of salsa on the result and call it some made-up French name.

Cooking is fun and a great way to impress the ladies later in life.
